It was a **HOT** and slow weekend at the DropZone, with lots of people out of town. Put up about 15 loads. As always though it was a sucessful weekend, We had 4 first time jumpers experience the sky from the best view possible, and one student got off static line. Justin Warner got all his jumps for "A" licence requirments and managed to sneak out without gettin Stamped! tisk, tisk. Congrats to all first timers and all those who crossed into "A" licence territory. BlueSkies

Weekend Plans: {July 12th and 13th}

Hello there all you fine people, Here is what I am hearing as far as jump news; Friday (today) the demo that was supposed to happen in St. Marys on the 4th will go on at about 8- 8:30. Saturday doors will be open at 8:00, there are I think 4 tandems, Mostly morning, and we need jumpers out to keep the plane turning. The pilot will be leaving early saturday (mid to late afternoon) so, get your bottoms out there early. I am still working on trying to get a pilot for the evening on saturday. Sunday will be the normal thang, 9am doors open and flying until sunset. There will be coaches and instructors out all weekend, which means I should see all you future sky gods and goddesses out there tearing chunks out of your license requirements.

weekend review: June 5th & 6th

Well, another successful weekend is in the bag. Saturday brought wishy-washy winds but jumps all day. Sunday was an amazing day for jumping (light winds a little over 80deg) and the turnout showed it. We had a really good number of students and licensed jumpers there. The rig rack was full, Loads were waiting on the plane and people packing for the majority of the day. CONGRATULATIONS!!! To Aaron Mitchell on his 100th And Captain on his 500th (Ladies... There is video :-) and for a price I can acquire it for you). Let's also welcome Phillip Harte aka Pip to the skydive family and a big congrats to him on receiving his A license. Don't forget about the first jump course this Friday and Saturday. I am pretty sure Jesse would appreciate any help you can offer. As well, all of you current students in need of re-currency training this is your chance to get it. If you do not know if you are current check the post about currency. In the meantime all of you need to huff and puff and blow these clouds away to ensure a bountiful weekend of fun and frivolity.

Weekend Review: May 28th- 31st

Holy cow!!! What a great long weekend at the DZ. We popped off some loads on friday; Paul, Chris, Ian and I played rock stars for the morning after jumping into the Herington airport on saturday for a demo. Sunday was a bust :-( And We had an awesome turnout on monday. Congratulations go out to Jay Robbins for receiving his A license and Chris Vail on his 100th jump (and first coach jump.. who's calling him out?). Pip busted out his check dive and can almost taste the sweetness of his A. All in all, we managed to prove that gravity still works pretty well and planes as well as people really can fly. The Wright brothers and Newton would be so proud of us.
