Refund Policy
The parachute club wants people to experience the thrill of skydiving. However, there may be a situation where individuals may not be able to make the jump. In some cases a refund (or partial refund) may be necessary.
Sometimes aircraft maintenance or the weather delays us from allowing you to jump the same day you train. We will do our best to notify you of the next jumping activity if it is other than our usual weekend activity. We want you to jump as soon as possible! However, it is your responsibility to reschedule the time to come out and make the first jump. Scheduling can be done with a phone call or E-mail.
THE INABILITY TO MAKE THE TIME TO COME OUT AND JUMP IS NOT GROUNDS FOR A REFUND.
Although a length of time may have passed without you jumping, we will not refund your training fee since you have indeed trained. However, we will administer a refresher course without charging any additional fees within one year of your initial training. We want you to jump!
Most classes at the beginning of each semester tend to fill up to capacity (21 students). Thus, we require a non-refundable deposit of $50 (this is part of the $160) to reserve a spot in a particular class. If you pay the deposit, and do not show up for the class, you forfeit your deposit.
KSUPC understands that under some circumstances, other obligations must be met and you may be unable to attend your scheduled class. Given such reasons, a 48 hour notice is required to be moved into another class in the same semester, your deposit is not refunded. We will do this only ONCE and only in classes during the current semester unless:
1 - 48 hour notice is given but your scheduled class is full. If no one from a waitlist can be contacted then your slot is considered filled and the $50 non-refundable deposit will be kept.
THE FOLLOWING ARE THE ONLY TWO CIRCUMSTANCES THAT A FULL REFUND WILL BE GIVEN:
1 - Our training consists of two sessions, a classroom instruction session on Friday night, and a practical session Saturday morning. If after the classroom session is complete (Friday night) and you do not feel comfortable with making a jump, and discuss this with the instructor, you will receive a full refund ($160).
2 - If at the instructor's discretion, it is determined that it is in your best interest not to jump, a full refund will be given. ($160)
THE FOLLOWING ARE THE ONLY CIRCUMSTANCES A PARTIAL REFUND WILL BE GIVEN:
a - If, after the practical session, (THE SATURDAY OF ONLY!!!) you do not feel comfortable about making a jump, a partial refund will be given of $90. ($160-$50 deposit-$20 training fee = $90 refund)
b - If in the aircraft you decide not to jump, a partial refund will be given of $59. ($150-$50 deposit-$20 training fee-$31 jump price = $59 refund)
c - If after the practical training day you do not make your jump and later decide you no longer want to jump, a partial refund will be given of $31, the cost of the jump, as it would be the only part of the class you did not complete. You will then be removed from the class list and required to retake the course, at full price, if you were ever interested in jumping at a later date.
