Static Line Progression

Would you like to join in on the growing sport of skydiving? If so you can start your training with KSUPC! We are open to the public, not only KSU students, so feel free to invite your friends and family as well. There are a couple restrictions though: You must be 18 years or older and weigh no more than 220lbs. We're sorry, but there are no exceptions.

Our club uses a training method referred to as "Static Line Progression". On about your first five jumps, you will be attached to the airplane by a static line that deploys your parachute for you. Once you demonstrate stability and capability of deploying your own parachute, we introduce you into freefall for the first time. Once you complete your first freefall, we then increase the altitude the jump is made from and more training is applied.

Static Line Progression is also the cheapest training available in skydiving. Other dropzones may offer something called "AFF" and claim to make you a skydiver in only a dozen or so jumps. All you need is a thousand dollars or so to do so and you still don't have your A-license. With Static Line Progression you can accomplish your A-License for around $800, and you are a well rounded skydiver with more jumps under your belt.

Our static line course is a 6-8 hour course divided up over 2 days. The classes always run Friday night 6-10pm and then the following morning at 8am-your first jump. We teach classes year round and can be found on the sign-up page. The course costs $170 which covers all your training, club dues and gear rental for the semester and your first jump. Payment in full is required to sign-up for a class If you're interested, feel free to sign-up online or look at our frequently asked questions
